This was the third lesson of four taught by me and a classmate at Carrigan Intermediate School in West Haven, Connecticut. This was our introductory lesson into Ultimate. Therefore, the lesson started from the bottom again and built up, as we were teaching our students to throw and catch frisbees for the first time.
My partner and I made some changes to our lesson plan after teaching it to students for the first time. This reflection was written after teaching the lesson the second time with those changes implemented. We noticed that our changes, using visual aides, color coding, and adjusting our task progression had huge impacts on our students engagement levels and their ability to understand our lesson content.
